Everyone knows how I cannot stand any type of insect, bug or critter … just creepy crawlers. Face it, I am a wimp.
I got up last night to go to the bathroom and there was a bug crawling. I sort of loudly screamed/talked telling Wessie, bug, bug, hurry, hurry, bug. He was immediately on his way but of course, I was obligated to repeat it over and over until Wessie got there. Haha.
By the time my hero got there the bug was between the dresser and a night stand. Wessie was trying his best to kill the little guy with a tissue and yells that he went behind the dresser.
He seemed to be giving up, admitting defeat. We all know that I will not even come close to sleeping with a bug. Heck, I may even move. So, when Wessie said he went behind the dresser, I immediately grab the dresser and pull it clear out. There is a super strength when you need it!
Wessie stretches out to get the bug and hits the touch lamp and shuts it off. Haha I am laughing so hard telling this. He hits his head and starts rubbing it. Me, never losing site of the fact that there is a bug to be killed, get a flashlight. Wes is done rubbing his head and ready to continue. He keeps asking how he unplugged the lamp. I am trying to get him to hear me telling him that it is a touch lamp. I illustrate this and hit him in the head with the lamp, softly. He immediately is rubbing his head again. Haha you should see…he is on his hands and knees crammed between a night stand and dresser rubbing his head. He’s thrashing around rubbing his head basically looking like he is getting beat up.
Meanwhile I am behind him with the dresser pulled out and he hits the lamp again and the rubbing starts but I am just concerned with this bug. I have this huge square flashlight thing and turn it on and move it behind the dresser to see the bug.
Wessie decides his head has had enough rubbing and raises up. Perfect timing, Wessie boy. It literally is like I just pick up the flashlight and swing for his head. I did not miss! Wessie goes back to rubbing and thrashing around. I could not stop my laughing. Wessie eventually got the bug for me.
I have to say it was kind of the bug to wait that long for Wessie to kill it.
