Raindrops . . .

I was looking out the window this morning.  There had been a fresh rain.  I love it after there has been a rain.  Everything looks so different and clean in a way.

I noticed the small rain drops clinging to the branches.  They just cling and do not drip off of the branches like a leaky pipe does.

My mind went to winter and how the drips would have been frozen.  The trees would have been so beautiful! They are beautiful with the drips as well.

Then my mind went to childhood.  We would hang around a tree and call one of our siblings over.  Then … we would grab a branch and pull it down and let go.  We created our own little rain shower!!  The sibling would be mad (or pretend to be) and the war was on.

From tree to tree we would run making it rain down on our victim.  How fun.  We lived in a house that sat on 10 acres.  We had plenty of woods with plentiful trees.

After awhile, we would all get under a branch and wait for someone to pull the branches down to rain over all of us! I think we went to every tree that we could reach the branches on.

What fun we had living in the country.  Did you guys make your own rain shower?  If not, try it!  You are never too old to play.  Or, you can make rain for your grandchildren.  Tell them it is not done raining yet.  Tell them you can make it rain and go out and get them under a branch and show them.  Be fun, get under the branch with them!
