I cannot believe I was raised in the country and grew up to love to camp! Why am I such a baby now and so squeamish??
My hand will never feel the same. I cannot explain it but if I step on a bug and hear the crunch, my foot feels horrible for awhile. I just cannot stand it. I have learned to take my shoe off quickly and hit it with the shoe. It is much better that way. No squeamish feeling. Well, all of those locusts are coming in and I was walking down the outside stairs to the garage and I heard something crunchy.
Ugh! My hand was on one of those and I think I may even have smashed it. I cannot believe I am even able to type this. My hand still feels tingly or something. I cannot describe it. A series of weird noises escaped my lips accompanied by oohs and other noises. I even had to look back to be certain and there were his nasty, beady, red eyes looking at me. I will probably have nightmares for days!
I have written about the tree frogs, praying mantis and camel crickets before but these ….ooh, they come inside with you on your clothing. I think I will give the tree frogs and praying mantis a break. Nothing is so ugly as those camel crickets and these locusts. I may have to stay inside for a number of weeks.
Do any of you know that squeamish feeling I am talking about? I hope I am not the only baby in the world here. Haha.
