So, I frequently use Walmart Delivery. It is much easier for me since I have breathing issues. I have always had a fear about who would drive it to me, etc. You know, would it smell like cigarette smoke, would there be pet hairs on it, were they clean and so on. Everyone assured me I was weird. Haha. Not offended here, I am. Anyway, I have been doing this for a long time and really do not have any problems at all. Several of the drivers I talk with and love them. I would recommend this service to everyone, and I do.

However, today, I sort of thought I might change my mind. I got my order this morning and as I was unpacking it, I saw something with my tomatoes that looked like perhaps a folded up pair of mittens. Sometimes, they deliver you an incorrect item. I will call them at that point and inform them of this as I do not like to be dishonest ever.

I reached in with a smile on my face and picked up the “mittens.” It was a filthy dirty pair of folded up socks. I mean things were stuck to it. I wanted to wash my hands with bleach or acid or something. They did not feel clean. I am weird, remember? More importantly, how can I get those tomatoes clean enough to want to eat them. I am trying to visualize that someone may be shopping and when nearing the tomatoes they had the urge to remove their socks. I have no idea what could have happened. Did someone perhaps put them up above the tomatoes and they fell in to the sack while someone was shopping for them? What possible way could those socks have made their way in to my tomatoes?

I called the store to inform them and they only made it worse by saying that they asked the delivery drivers to clean their cars and said but hey what can you do. I said I was worried about that and now may not want to do delivery. I told him the person’s name and he said if they were her socks I need not worry, she is clean above clean. I told him that her socks were not. I am wondering, maybe her car had the socks in there, but how did they jump into my bag? Maybe they were so dirty they stuck to the ceiling of her car? I just do not have enough of an imagination to figure out how they got there or why someone might purposely do that. I know, a worse thing could have been in there, but I am still shocked and perplexed.

Oh well, things happen but I feel like this is a really weird thing and these things only seem to happen to me. Haha. I still do not know if I will eat those tomatoes. Comment to me if you would eat them. Haha. Comment to me your ideas of how they got in there. I know they hide in the laundry and disappear. Maybe Walmart shopping bags is where they go.
